Dear InSight viewers:
We’re glad you’ve come to visit the online home of our
television show, VCU InSight. The show — and this Internet
site — are the result of a far-reaching partnership between
Richmond's PBS affiliate and the VCU School of Mass
Communications. It gives our students a chance to use the
skills they’re learning in the classroom in a “real-life”
environment. And it gives you a chance to learn about VCU.
It’s also a great opportunity for us to test our new
converged curriculum: we’re teaching our students how to
produce information on multiple media platforms — in this
case for broadcast and for the Web.
At the School of Mass Communications, we’ve changed what we
teach, and even how we teach it, in response to the changes
that are sweeping the mass communications professions. And
we’ll continue to change, with the ultimate goal being to
see that your information and entertainment needs are met.
We hope you enjoy the show and this Web site. And we hope
